Kyrgyzstan has significant problems with unemployment and alcoholism. This has resulted in significant numbers of abandoned or abused children. Irina and Dmitry have been working with these children since the year 2000. Where they can, they try to help the family stay together and assist them with their problems. But they also had a need for a crisis centre, providing a home and house parents.

The sponsorship money raised by Abi and Ali has helped transform the crisis centre, enabling total renovation and equipping it with modern appliances.
